nightmares have come true,
this day has come
can barely fathom the thought,
then again,
never really understood how i got here.

never truly cared,
never took the time
to understand my hardships.
you moved on,
so should i.

clean the answering machine,
just so i don't accidentally remember,
since you've done the same.
throw away things,
only you and I care about,
since you've done the same.
forget about you completely,
because you meant everything to me,
since you've done the same.

i'll admit,
this won't be easy.
but it's what I have to do,
since you've done the same.
